Les Clopes and Co, the iconic lighting collection designed by José Lévy, draws on both the timeless graphic universe of the French publisher, with its close ties to art deco, and the Japanese craft heritage, whose poetry and purity have nourished the imagination of the Parisian designer since childhood.
Renowned for his imaginative creative approach, which blends tradition and experimentation, the designer has drawn on the principle of ‘Kokeshis’. These wooden figurines from a bygone era provide the framework for the composition of each piece. The result is a veritable gallery of ‘characters’ divided into 3 atypical families: Les Clopes, les Co and les Dé-Moulures.
