Exhibition “Around Japan IX” – Gallery 19 rue Paul Fort Paris

Japan continues to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration for artists around the world! Several ceramic artists, photographers, floral artists, visual artists, dyers, etc. And José Lévy, designer of the “Clopes and Co” and “Moulures” lighting fixtures, manufactured and distributed by CVL Luminaires. With their cylindrical, minimalist bodies and heads, the Co series of lamps most faithfully reflects the inspiration of the “Kokeshis” from José Lévy’s “Clopes and Co” collection. This family of table lamps, available in different sizes, is made of wood or metal with an opal glass top. The entire collection is on display at the gallery until December 20.

Designer: A multidisciplinary artist, José Lévy works at the intersection of decorative arts and visual arts with talent and a poetic touch tinged with humor. Each of his creations expresses a unique combination of imagination and rigor. Winner of the Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris and Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto), José Lévy has collaborated with cultural institutions and companies such as the Manufacture de Sèvres, the Saint Louis crystal factory, Maison Hermès, the Tools galleries, Astier de Villate, Roche-Bobois, Dyptique, Monoprix, and the Gallery S. Bensimon, as well as renowned publishers in the world of design. His creations are exhibited in leading cultural institutions such as the Guimet Museum, the Musée de la Chasse, the Petit Palais, the Palais de Tokyo, and the Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery.
