It was for the complete renovation project of the 5-star palace Les Roches Blanches in Cassis that CVL was selected by the Parisian architectural firm Kappel. The architect and decorator, Monika Kappel, was entrusted with the project of restoring the 2,400 m2 hotel inspired by its Art Deco heritage.
Built in 1887 facing the majestic Cap Canaille cliff, the building anchored in the rocks was first a mansion, then turned into a hotel in the early 1920s. Embodying the French way of life, it enjoyed its moment of glory until the 1950s. Winston Churchill, then Edith Piaf both lived there. Bought by customers who fell in love with the place, the hotel Les Roches Blanches, which owes its name to the limestone rocks of the creeks, reopened its doors in 2019.
Passionate about decorative arts, our client succeeded in reinventing a luxurious and refined décor for this haven of peace. For its interior decoration, it subtly combines historical references, custom-made furniture and contemporary lighting, where the Earth Radian wall lamp fits in naturally.
